Deciding Late? Here's What to Expect
Never been to a comedy club before, or only decided to come out tonight? That's completely normal — most of our audience books on the day. Here's what a typical night looks like at JK:
- Book right up to showtime. Tickets are confirmed instantly online — no need to plan ahead. Turn up 10-15 minutes early and grab a drink at the bar.
- The host opens the show. They warm up the room and set the energy for the night.
- A host and a lineup of comedians perform. The lineup changes every week — you might see TV names, Edinburgh Fringe performers, or rising stars.
- When the show wraps, you're done. Head out for dinner, drinks, or a walk through the West End.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. No heckling culture, no pressure to participate. Seating is unreserved, so earlier arrivals get the best spots. All venues are 18+. Bring photo ID.
How to Choose a Show Tonight
Multiple shows on tonight? Here is how to pick:
- Dinner plans after? Pick the earliest show time — you will be out by 9-9:30 PM with plenty of time for a late dinner nearby.
- Looking for energy? Late-night shows (9 PM+) tend to have the liveliest crowds and edgier material.
- Date night? A Friday or Saturday evening at Covent Garden, or a relaxed Sunday there, is ideal — a big room with a full bar and a great atmosphere. Date night guide
- On a budget? Monday shows are just £7 (as of 10 October 2026). Cheap comedy guide
All shows run for 90 minutes with an MC and a bill of professional comedians. For more about our venues, see the Covent Garden, Soho and Leicester Square venue pages.
