Tuesday is a good night for comedy in London. Tickets cost less than at the weekend, and an evening of stand-up breaks up the working week. JK Comedy Club runs two Tuesday night comedy shows every week: 8PM at our Covent Garden room and 9PM at our Soho room.
This guide explains how the two shows differ, lists other Tuesday comedy across London, and covers booking and planning tips.

JK Comedy Club’s two Tuesday shows
Both Tuesday shows have a host and a line-up of professional comedians, run for about 90 minutes and cost the same. Previous shows have included comedians seen on Comedy Central, Live at the Apollo and Netflix, alongside newer acts.
Covent Garden, 8PM
Our Covent Garden comedy club is at Arboretum, 2A Charing Cross Road, two minutes from Leicester Square station. It is our largest room, with around 200 seats and its own full bar. Doors open an hour before the show, at 7PM, so you can eat and drink at the venue first. The show finishes at around 9:30PM, which suits anyone with an early start on Wednesday.
Soho, 9PM
Our Soho comedy club is downstairs at The Spice of Life, 6 Moor Street, three minutes from Leicester Square station. The air-conditioned basement holds around 60 people, so you are never far from the stage. Doors open 15 minutes before the show, and you can buy a drink at the bar upstairs and take it down with you. The later start gives you time for dinner in Soho or Chinatown first.
Which one to choose
Pick Covent Garden if you want an earlier finish, a bigger room or to eat at the venue. Pick Soho if you prefer a small, close-up room and a later start. Both are a short walk from Leicester Square station.

Other Tuesday comedy in London
Other clubs run Tuesday shows too. The details below come from each club’s official website, checked in October 2026; check their listings before you go, as programmes change.
Top Secret Comedy Club, Covent Garden
Top Secret Comedy Club listed a Tuesday stand-up show at 170 Drury Lane at 8PM, with doors at 7PM. The ticket covers a small booking fee for entry, and the club collects contributions for the comedians after the show. It also runs a second room at 23 Kingsway.

Angel Comedy, Islington
Angel Comedy runs free stand-up shows seven nights a week at The Bill Murray and the Camden Head, both near Angel station. Its listings included a free Tuesday show at 7:30PM. It is run by comedians and has a friendly, community feel, with newer comedians often on the bill.
Backyard Comedy Club, Bethnal Green
Backyard Comedy Club at 231 Cambridge Heath Road describes itself as the largest purpose-built professional comedy club in London. It serves hot food and drinks. Check its listings for Tuesday dates.

Making an evening of it
A Tuesday comedy show fits easily into a low-cost evening. Have an early dinner in Chinatown before the 8PM Covent Garden show, or eat in Soho before the 9PM show at The Spice of Life. For more ideas, see our guide to a cheap night out in London.
