Stag Do Comedy Night in London
Put the stag in the front row — live stand-up in the West End from just £7
The Stag Do Idea That Actually Works
Every best man scrolls the same list of stag do ideas in London — paintball, go-karting, another pub crawl where half the group gets lost by 10 PM. A comedy night beats all of them: everyone laughs, nobody gets left out, and the whole group stays in one room sharing the same night.
The tradition writes itself. Put the stag in the front row — most comedians interact with the audience, and a stag up front is an easy target. Consider it a free roast, and it's always good-natured. With 2,600+ 5-star reviews, JK Comedy Club is one of London's highest-rated nights out.
It's also one of the cheapest stag party ideas in central London: tickets from £7-13 a head, against £20+ club entry or £50+ for most "experience" activities. No one in the WhatsApp group complains about that.
Best Nights for a Stag Do
We run shows seven nights a week across four West End venues, but these are the nights stag groups book:
Friday Night — 7PM, 8PM & 9PM
The classic stag night slot. Shows at 7PM and 9PM in Leicester Square, plus an 8PM at Piccadilly Circus. Catch the early show, then the whole night is still ahead of you. Tickets £13.
Saturday Night — 7PM & 9PM
The biggest night of the week — electric weekend crowd, headline acts, and you're already in the heart of the West End when the show ends. Saturday sells out fast, so book the group in early. Tickets £13.
Saturday Afternoon — 4PM Soho
Starting the stag day early? The 4PM show at our Soho venue kicks the day off with 90 minutes of laughs, then releases you into Soho with the whole evening to go. Tickets £13.
Thursday Night — Leicester Square
A quieter start to a stag weekend. Same quality lineup, easier tickets, and less crowded bars nearby — good for the arrival-night warm-up before the main event.
What a Stag Night Show Looks Like
Arrive together 10-15 minutes early, grab pints from the bar, and take a block of seats — seating is unreserved, so the group sits together and the stag goes up front.
An MC warms up the room, then introduces 4 professional comedians — lineups change every week and feature acts you'll have seen on Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster, and Netflix. Shows run around 90 minutes with a 15-minute interval to reload on drinks.
Tell us it's a stag do when you book and the MC may give the groom a mention. The rooms seat 50-60 people, so the comedian can see everyone — and a stag in the front row rarely goes unnoticed.
The Perfect First Act of the Night
A comedy show gives a stag night structure — a proper event to rally around — without eating the whole evening. Shows finish with the night still young, and all four venues (Soho, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus) are in the middle of the West End, so you walk straight out into the nightlife.
From Soho you're steps from some of London's best bars and pubs. From Leicester Square, Chinatown is two minutes away for late-night food — a stag do tradition in its own right. No taxis, no logistics, no losing half the group between venues.
Big group? For ten or more, a private booking puts the whole room in your hands — your own show with an MC and 4 professional comedians, and the stag has nowhere to hide.
Stag Do Comedy FAQ
Will the comedians pick on the stag?
If he's in the front row, there's every chance. Most comedians interact with the audience, and a stag up front is an easy target — it's always good-natured, and it's half the reason groups put him there. Mention it's a stag do when you book and the MC may give him a shout-out during the show. There's no heckling culture though — the roasting stays friendly.
How big a group can we bring?
Our rooms seat up to 50-60 people, so stag groups of any size fit comfortably at a regular show — just book everyone onto the same date and time. For groups of ten or more, a private booking is worth considering: the whole room is yours, with an MC and 4 professional comedians.
Can we all sit together?
Yes — seating is unreserved, so arrive together 10-15 minutes early and you can grab a block of seats as a group. Put the stag at the front and spread out behind him.
Can we drink during the show?
Absolutely. Every venue has bar service, so you can grab drinks before the show and top up at the interval. It's a comedy club, not a theatre — pints are part of the experience.
Is there a dress code?
No dress code — wear whatever the stag do demands. Matching t-shirts, fancy dress, or just jeans and trainers are all absolutely fine.
Are the shows 18+?
Yes — all venues are 18+. Make sure everyone in the group brings valid photo ID, as you may be asked for it on arrival.
What time should we arrive?
Arrive at least 10-15 minutes before showtime so the group can get drinks and sit together — seating is unreserved. If you arrive after the show starts we can't guarantee entry, as latecomers disrupt the performance.
