Group Activities in London
The group night out that always works — live stand-up comedy from just £7
The One Group Activity Everyone Says Yes To
Organising a group activity in London usually means a spreadsheet, a split-the-bill argument, and at least one person who "isn't really into" whatever you picked. A live comedy night is the rare plan with none of that: one booking, one start time, and everyone just turns up. A host and 4 professional comedians do all the work — nobody in your group has to perform, dance, solve a puzzle, or throw an axe.
It works for mixed groups precisely because laughing is the one activity nobody opts out of. Work friends, old friends, family, partners — within ten minutes of the first act, everyone's having the same night. With 2,600+ 5-star reviews and a 4.9/5 rating, JK Comedy Club is one of London's highest-rated nights out for groups.
And it's kind to the group's wallets. Tickets run £7-13 per person — while most group "experience" activities cost several times that per head, a comedy ticket costs less than a round of drinks. Shows run seven nights a week across four venues in Soho, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus, so wherever your group is meeting, there's a show within walking distance.
What's the Occasion? Pick Your Group Night
Whatever brings your group together, we've got a night built for it:
Hen Party Comedy Night
The hen do idea everyone actually enjoys. The bride's work friends, school friends, and family laughing together within ten minutes — no icebreakers, no forced participation, and sashes are welcome. Tell us it's a hen party and the MC may give the bride-to-be a shout-out.
Stag Do Comedy Night
Put the stag in the front row and consider it a free roast — always good-natured. A proper event to rally the group around, with the whole West End on your doorstep when the show ends. Beats another pub crawl where half the group gets lost by 10 PM.
Birthday Comedy Night
The birthday plan a mixed friend group agrees on. Shows seven nights a week means the actual birthday date can be the show date — including £7 Tuesdays and Wednesdays for big groups on a budget.
Corporate & Team Building
Team nights, away days, Christmas parties, and client entertainment. Professional comedy in an intimate setting that gets everyone laughing together — perfect for teams of 10 to 60, with a dedicated event coordinator for private events.
Just a Big Group of Mates?
No occasion needed. Book everyone onto the same show and arrive together to grab a block of seats — or make it a private show for groups of 10 to 60 with no minimum spend.
How Group Bookings Work
Standard groups: book tickets online for the same show — no booking fees, the price you see is the price you pay. Seating is unreserved, so arrive together 10-15 minutes before doors and take a block of seats. Groups of ten or more can make it a group booking via private bookings — email us with your date and group size. Group bookings may qualify for additional discounts — email us with your date and group size.
Full venue hire: private bookings give your group its own show — an MC, 4 professional comedians, full sound and lighting, bar service, and a dedicated event coordinator, across any of our four venues for groups of 10 to 60. No minimum spend, no hidden fees.
Email [email protected] with your date and group size for a quote within 24 hours. We recommend at least 2 weeks ahead for group bookings and 4 weeks for full venue hire.
Any Night Works — Shows 7 Nights a Week
Unlike most group activities in London, you're not fighting for a weekend slot. We run shows every night of the week across four central London venues:
- Friday & Saturday nights — the biggest atmosphere of the week, shows at 7PM and 9PM. Tickets £13, and they regularly sell out, so book the group in early.
- Saturday afternoon — 4PM Soho — the daytime option that leaves the whole evening free for dinner and drinks afterwards.
- Tuesday & Wednesday — just £7 a ticket, the cheapest way to bring a big group. Same professional lineups, easier availability.
- Sunday — 7:30PM Covent Garden — relaxed and intimate, above a cosy pub at our Covent Garden venue. Tickets from £10.
Every show is around 90 minutes with a 15-minute interval, every venue has bar service, and all four are in the heart of the West End — so the group night carries straight on the second you step outside. Booking last minute? Check what's on tonight.
Group Activities FAQ
How many people can we bring to a comedy show?
Our venues seat 45-60 people, so groups of any size fit comfortably at a regular show — just book everyone onto the same date and time. For groups of ten or more, a private booking gives you the whole room: your own show with an MC and 4 professional comedians, for groups of 10 to 60.
Can our group sit together?
Yes. Seating is unreserved, so arrive together 10-15 minutes before doors and you can pick a block of seats as a group. For groups of ten or more, consider a group booking — email us in advance and our team will help with seating.
Can we hire a whole venue?
Yes — private bookings are available across all four venues for groups of 10 to 60, with no minimum spend and no hidden fees. You get a private comedy show with an MC and 4 professional comedians, bar service, and a dedicated event coordinator. Email [email protected] with your date and group size for a quote within 24 hours.
Which night is best for a group?
Friday and Saturday nights have the biggest atmosphere and cost £13 — they regularly sell out, so book early. Tuesday and Wednesday shows are just £7, the cheapest way to bring a big group, and Sunday shows from £10 have a relaxed, intimate vibe. We run shows seven nights a week, so any night can be the group night.
How much does it cost per person?
Tickets run £7-13 per person depending on the night — £7 midweek, £13 on Friday and Saturday. There are no booking fees, no minimum spend, and drinks are pay-as-you-go at the bar, so nobody in the group has to quietly opt out.
Are the shows 18+?
Yes — all shows are 18+. Make sure everyone in the group brings valid photo ID, as you may be asked for it on arrival.
How far in advance should a group book?
For regular shows, book as soon as your date is set — Friday and Saturday shows regularly sell out. For group bookings we recommend at least 2 weeks in advance, and 4 weeks for full venue hire, especially at weekends. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible — just ask.
