Hen Party Comedy Night in London

The hen do idea everyone actually enjoys — live stand-up from just £7

Why a Comedy Night is the Best Hen Do Idea

Cocktail classes cost £30+ a head. Clubbing splits the group by midnight. A live comedy night does the one thing every hen party needs — it gets the bride's work friends, school friends, and family laughing together within ten minutes, no icebreakers required.

Everyone is included, whatever their age, and nobody has to perform, dance, or drink if they don't want to. You just turn up, sit down, and let a host and four professional comedians do the work. With 2,600+ 5-star reviews, JK Comedy Club is one of London's highest-rated nights out.

And at £7-13 a ticket, it's one of the cheapest hen party activities in central London — with all four venues in the heart of the West End, the rest of the night is already on your doorstep.

Best Nights for a Hen Party

We run shows seven nights a week across four venues, but these slots work best for hen groups:

Friday Night — 7PM, 8PM & 9PM

The classic hen do opener. Catch the 7PM show at Leicester Square or the 8PM at Piccadilly Circus, then you're already in the West End with the whole night ahead of you — or go all-in with the 9PM Leicester Square show. Tickets £13.

Saturday Night — 7PM, 8:30PM & 9PM

Our biggest night of the week — buzzing weekend crowd and the strongest lineups. Shows at 7PM and 9PM (Leicester Square) and 8:30PM (Piccadilly Circus), so you can build the show around dinner either side. Tickets £13. Saturday sells out fast — book early for a group.

Saturday Afternoon — 4PM Soho

Perfect for hen weekends with a big evening planned. A 4PM matinee at our Soho venue (in The Spice of Life, with Chinatown across the road) kicks the day off, leaving the whole evening free for dinner and drinks. Tickets £13.

How to Book for a Hen Party

Standard groups: book tickets online for the same show — no booking fees, the price you see is the price you pay. Seating is unreserved, so arrive together 10-15 minutes before doors to grab a block of seats. Groups of ten or more can make it a group booking via private bookings — email us with your date and group size.

Big hen parties: private bookings give your group its own show — a host, four professional comedians, and flexible show times across any of our four venues, for groups of 10 to 60. No minimum spend, no hidden fees. Email [email protected] with your date and group size for a quote within 24 hours.

Either way, tell us it's a hen party — the MC may give the bride-to-be a shout-out from the stage.

What Your Hen Party Can Expect

Intimate West End rooms where every joke lands, not a cavernous arena. A host warms up the room and introduces four professional comedians across roughly 90 minutes, with a 15-minute interval to restock at the bar.

The lineup changes every week — you might see TV comedians, Edinburgh Fringe performers, or rising stars — and there's usually a bit of friendly audience interaction. A bride in a sash rarely goes unnoticed, all in good fun.

Shows finish with the evening still young, and every venue — Soho, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus — is surrounded by bars and restaurants, so the night continues exactly where you are.

Hen Party Comedy FAQ

Is a comedy night a good hen party idea?

Yes — it is one of the easiest hen do activities to organise in London. Everyone laughs together regardless of age or how well they know each other, there is no forced participation, and tickets start from just £7. Book the seats, share the details, done.

Can our group sit together?

Seating is unreserved, so arrive together 10-15 minutes before doors and you can pick a block of seats as a group. For groups of ten or more, consider a group booking — our team will help arrange your night, and you can email us in advance about seating.

How do we book for a large hen party?

For standard groups, book tickets online for the same show. For bigger hen parties, private bookings are available across all four venues for groups of 10 to 60 — no minimum spend, no hidden fees. Email [email protected] with your date and group size; we recommend enquiring at least 2 weeks ahead for group bookings and 4 weeks for full venue hire.

Is there a dress code?

No dress code — wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Hen party sashes, veils and matching t-shirts are welcome, and the comedians tend to love them.

Is there an age limit?

Yes — all shows are 18+. Every guest must bring valid photo ID as you may be asked for it on arrival, so make sure everyone in the group has theirs.

Can we drink during the show?

Yes. Every venue has bar service, so your group can grab drinks before the show and top up during the 15-minute interval. There is no minimum spend and no pressure to buy bottle service.

What time should we arrive?

Doors open about 30 minutes before evening shows. Arrive together 10-15 minutes before doors so your group gets seats in the same block — meeting at a nearby pub first works well. Latecomers cannot be guaranteed entry once the show starts.

Will the bride-to-be get a shout-out?

Often, yes. Let us know it is a hen party when you book and the MC may give the bride-to-be a mention from the stage — it always gets a cheer. There is usually a bit of friendly audience interaction, all in good fun.
